Advanced Grammar Workshops:
Using exercises from the text, Understanding English Grammar, students will review grammar features necessary for success on the WST and in advanced writing courses.

Troublesome Words: Sessions will deal with problems and solutions when using "troublesome words" and provide a question and answer session with students' own questions about English grammar.

Intermediate Grammar Workshops: Using exercises from the text, Fundamentals of English Grammar, students will review grammar features necessary for success in intermediate writing and grammar courses.

How Verbs Work #1: Students will review the three forms of the verb BE as a linking verb and as a helping verb with present progressive tense with transitive and intransitive main verbs. Emphasis will be placed on simple sentence structures with linking, transitive and intransitive verbs.

Writing Effective Topic Sentences: From recognizing well constructed topic sentences, students will progress to writing topic sentences with a well focused subject, strong action verb, and clear controlling idea.

Song Workshop: Learn vocabulary, pronunciation, and even some English grammar the fun way by singing popular songs.
